Style notes

Western chic, without the costume

Start with one expressive piece, then give it room. Our approach pairs Western character with quiet, considered essentials.

What makes Western style feel elevated?

For our taste, it is contrast rather than a full matching look. A sculptural buckle against plain denim, a weathered leather bag with a crisp shirt, or a turquoise-colored accent beside warm neutrals lets one detail do the work. Forest green, cream and saddle brown create a useful starting palette—not a dress code.

Choose one focal point

Start with the piece you actually want to wear: a jacket, belt, pendant or boots. Keep the surrounding shapes simpler. If the jacket has fringe or embroidery, try an unadorned shirt and a clean trouser. If jewelry is the focus, leave enough space around the neckline for its shape to read.

Mix old and new on purpose

Vintage character does not require a head-to-toe vintage outfit. Try one textured, timeworn element alongside something contemporary and useful. Fit matters more than the date on a label: check shoulder width, sleeve length and how a piece feels while sitting or moving, not just while standing in front of a mirror.

Our Palomino perspective

Palomino Supply is taking shape in Georgetown, Texas, around this balance: equestrian restraint, a little Western personality, and distinctive pieces worth keeping. This is a style guide, not a promise that the examples above are currently in stock.
